Detail of icon operations
	Enter a dot: enables a dot to be placed (interpreted as a piercing in CAM) .
	Poly-line: to enter a series of dots to make a multiple line.
	‘Beziers’ curve: placing a series of dots to define a curve.
	Circle and arcs of circles: circles with a centre and a radius, or a part circle defined at 3 points.
	Rectangles, polygons and spirals: to define the rectangle by the point of departure and arrival.
	To enter text, the font and the size of the text can be modified.
	Hatching and automatic hatching inside a selection of shapes..
	Horizontal and vertical quotation marks, length, radii and angles.
	Tool for connections: joining by hollow or by chamfer.
	Tools for creation of surfaces from a profile on the XY plane

Restraint tools, available according to the design tool or work tool selected:


	Centre tool, for a circle or centre of one of the segments of a rectangle.
	Intersection tool (to use it, select the two segments)
	Tool for blocking the X axes, leaving only Y free.
	Tool for blocking the Y axes, leaving only X free.

	Tool for digital entry, its keyboard shortcut is the ENTRY key.
	Tool for having a parallel straight line.
	Tool to obtain a tangent segment (to a circle)
	Tool for placing a straight line at an angle to another selected straight line.
	Tool to have a straight line perpendicular to another.
	Tool to obtain the departure of a segment from another straight line.

Some tools can be combined together, for example, a parallel straight line and belong to or perpendicular to a straight line and copy of axes on X……

Information bar (situated at the bottom of the charlyGRAAL screen ).

In the order :

- Plane (or trace) of active work. All the designs will be made on this plane, even if it is not visible.

- Line colour.

- Line thickness.

- Relative coordinates of the cursor from the first point of an entity.

- Absolute coordinates of the cursor from the original position of the design (default setting situated bottom left).

The second line is a help bar, like the blue help bar.

Description of the icons on the tool bar, in order:

- New CAD document ,

- Open a CAD document, or DXF, HPGL (PLT), Excellon (EXL),or vectorial cliparts (EMF, WMF).

- Save the current document

- Print the document (at a chosen scale or at page size),

- Cut windows

- Copy windows

- Paste windows (important, the windows paper-weight only manages poly lines and dots, but not curves or arcs, the second of which are changed into segments). To copy an entity, you must use the tools available via the right mouse button, or copy with CTRL key held down, at the same time selecting the entity to be copied, then move the mouse.

- Properties either of the sheet or of the entity, if there is one selected.

- Undo the action

- Redo the action

- Selection tool. With the mouse, click twice on the right button to select the entity in progress (one to stop the drawing, a second time to select). To select everything, use the space bar or deselect everything.

- Tool for editing dots is digitally or with the mouse, to modify a dot, to delete a dot, to add a dot on the right and to split the entity at this point.

- Zoom on selection. To move on zoom, click on this button, then make a movement vector with the right mouse button.

- Zoom on the page

- Zoom back

- Zoom on a selection of entity. Enables the document dimensions to be exceeded.

- Realistic rendering (for 3D)

- Isometric view (passes automatically into realistic rendering.

- XY View (only view that permits drawing)

- XZ View (only permits selecting or transforming the entities).

- YZ View (same as XZ view)

- Magnetic grid, enables magnetic locking onto the entity grid.

- Magnetic locking, enables two entities to be coupled together.

- Icon to go from 3D mode to 2D mode. This change only concerns the operation on the Z axis which becomes inactive.

- Icon for going to 2D CAM.

- Icon for going to 3D CAM
